Well, that's a loaded question. At least for me. I can be inspired by the wind or an ant - they are pretty strong insects you know!
But, this last weekend, I was inspired by hundreds of pet bloggers who ascended on Salt Lake City for the 4th BlogPaws conference. I have a unique view of the conference and the community since I operate from the inside of the event, and sometimes I'm a bit jealous of all the attendees who just get to have fun and enjoy themselves, but I do have fun. Even when I'm running all over the place to make sure things run smoothly. I'm having fun. Don't let me convince you otherwise.
Getting back to the point. Inspiration. My problem has nothing to do with not being able to find inspiration. It's implementing the inspiration into action. If only I had a clone who could take action immediately when inspiration strikes. That would really make a difference. Instead, I find myself weaving in and out of inspiring moments, wishing I could make more of them and feeling in adequate for not letting them guide me towards wherever they might lead.
While I walked ran around the conference, I found myself being overwhelmed with inspiration. From the pets that were acting SO GOOD, to the people who were proudly smiling with them, to the camaraderie that was erupting around every corner, to the knowledge being shared, to the benevolence that was spreading...all of it was awe inspiring. And me? I was still running around, absorbing what I could because it was keeping me grounded in the event. It was keeping me in touch with reasons everyone comes to BlogPaws. It kept a smile on my face and energy in my stride.
So, while I am left to ponder how to grasp that motivation and turn it into action, I will always appreciate the moments it gives me and the memories that I will never forget.
Thank you to everyone who was there, whether physically or in spirit. You each contribute to an inspiring community in way that words will never explain.
