Thankful Thursday is a good thing. Today it's a good thing because I'm not feeling very Thankful and Thankful Thursday is making me re-think my thinking. I'm still aching over Lennox and still feeling so terrible for him and his family, and the way everything was handled by the Belfast City Council is so utterly disturbing it's sickening.
So, what can we do now? We can continue to fight! Lennox is not the only dog fighting BSL and we owe it to him to continue the fight! In my perfect world there would be no BSL, no Greyhound racing, a registered list of animal abusers and MUCH stiffer penalties for them too! I guess I got my work cut out for me if I want to see these things changed, but I'm thankful for YOU because I know that YOU will help!
Yes, today, on this Thankful Thursday, I am thankful for the passionate pet community who strive for change for the pets who cannot speak for themselves and who are the only ones who will ever be able to truly love unconditionally. Thank you.
This is Onyx as a puppy. I think it's probably what Lennox was thinking when they murdered him, because dogs have the most forgiving hearts of any being.
