It's been a week since I posted. A week I spent enjoying family and the season. We all need a little break sometimes and mine was too short! If only I could take a break every week. BOL!
One thing I got to do while enjoying my time off was to enjoy the gift of giving. Giving to my family. Giving to my friends, and of course, giving to my dogs! Twiggy and Onyx were particularly picky this year. Normally they enjoy ripping open their presents, but this year they only seemed interested in the treats. Hmmm...
In the spirit of the holidays I wanted to share a few treats Twiggy and Onyx have been dying to try. And a few things that make great gifts all year long!
First, there are the Cake Pops from Bubba Rose Biscuit Co.. Yes, they look delicious and edible for us humans, but they are made for our dogs. Promise. Bubba Rose is dedicated to providing healthy, preservative-free dog treats made with organic and natural ingredients. Their treats are free of wheat, corn and soy and are all handmade in small batches in their NJ bakery. All of their ingredients are also sourced from the U.S. Plus, a portion of every sale goes towards animal rescue. We heart that. You can buy the treats from the Bubba Rose website or to there to search for a local pet boutique near you. Their cake pops retail for $13.99. Yum!
Next, there are the Pro-Treat Freeze Dried Liver beef and chicken treats from Stewart Pet. The treats maintain the aroma, flavor and nutritional value of 100% raw liver producted and packaged in the USA and the all-natural treats are diced into perfect, reward sized bites. With only one ingredient they are perfect for dogs with allergies or those on limited ingredient diets. Again, yum! You can purchase Stewart Pet treats at stores like PetSmart. Visit www.stewartpet.com to find a retailer near you. They retail for $22.99.
A great year round gift is the Soggy Doggy Doormat. It does exactly what it's name implies, it soaks up your dog's soggy feet at the door. It's a great time of year to have it in CO. Snow on the ground means wet doggy feet. Since putting the Soggy Doggy Doormat at our back door I've had
much less actual paw wiping to do. Really, I haven't done any. I just have each dog spend a couple seconds on the doormat and it absorbs all the wetness that I would normally use a towel to wipe off - each paw individually. Needless to say, my back is most appreciative of this wonderful gift. It's a definite must for dogs that like to frequent the outside no matter what the weather is like! Plus, it feels great on human feet. It's made of a super-absorbent, durable, microfiber chenille with millions of textured, ultrafine strands woven together. Things drying in CO is never really a problem, but the mat does dry super-fast. It's available in a variety of sizes and colors exclusively at www.soggydoggydoormat.com and retails for $24.99 - $84.99. Definitely worth every penny.
Finally, if you need a cute, cool gift for your favorite smushed faced dog, Cool Blue Dog Apparel has you covered, literally! Cool Blue Dog just launched their new hip hoodie line made just for Bulldogs, Pugs, Boston Terriers, French Bulldogs and other hard to fit breeds. Onyx, being a smaller Pit mix pup, fits into their XL hoodie, and he looks most adorable in it! His is a black hoodie with a skull on it. Tough, just like him...sorta! BOL! What I love about it is how soft it is. It has a nice fleece lining that definitely helps with warmth in the colder temperatures. Cool Blue Dog has a whole line of jackets and coats in a variety of colors. So get your pup dressed in style and visit www.coolbluedog.com to check out all the choices. They retail for $56 - $58.
All of these gifts came from the BlogPaws Holiday Gift Guide, but I believe they are great gifts all year round. I was compensated for this post, but the opinions are my own.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all our furry friends and their humans!
