Twiggy and Onyx are my fur kids. They complete my family. I've got the Husband, the Daughter and the Fur Kids. We are a happy 5 being family. I plan my days around all of them. If I have to travel I have to figure out how to keep all of their routines as normal as possible, which usually means several volunteers to be my stand in while I'm gone. Volunteers I appreciate because my family is very important to me and I know when I'm gone it's hard on them. All of them.
Twiggy and Onyx have special treats, special clothes - rain coats and jackets to keep them warm when it's bitter cold, special beds, special toys and their own spots on the couch. Really the only difference between their special things and my daughter's special things is that none of theirs have touch screens.
I can't imagine treating my dogs any differently. I grew up with pets - cats and dogs - and they've always been family to us. I have definitely made important decisions based on my whole family. I drive a car with both the fur kids and the human kid in mind. It's got to have room for carpooling the two legged children while toting around the 4 legged kids. That's why a company like Subaru focusing on the value of our dogs is so refreshing.
Grant Weber, the first car salesman for dogs, has the best job ever. In fact, I challenge him to his position. I think I could sell more cars if I was given the chance. Are you listening Subaru? I have a way with dogs. Hire me. I'll sell your cars! In the meantime, I'll keep watching the commercials that make me smile and make me glad that a car company is really getting it. Dogs are Family. No if, ands or buts about.
That is Dog Tested. Dog Approved.TM
This post is sponsored by Subaru. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about the Dog Tested. Dog Approved.™ campaign, but Twiggy and Onyx are too excited for us NOT to share. :) And we share things we love.
