Yesterday I had to take Chester into the Vet's office. He was really lethargic and had no appetite on Tuesday. He was already on meds and we were all worried about him. With his parents (Tom & Yvonne) out of town, I had him stay with me at my house all day Wednesday so I could keep an eye him before taking him to the Vet. Good news is he is much better. Probably has a stomach ulcer, but we are treating him for it and he's recovering nicely.
While at the Vet's I noticed a bookcase full of treats and goodies. Upon closer look I was pleased to see that there were several Virbac C.E.T. dental chews. How timely because, thanks to EntirelyPets, I had a package waiting for me at home that Onyx was dying to try out!
Is it mean to be a little bit of a tease with new treats? I hope not because I always find it puts a smile on my face to put them on the ground and let Onyx sniff them for a bit before I actually let him have one. Plus, he looks so cute circling the package and checking it out.
It's important to note that EntirelyPets.com works very hard at providing the best prices for their products and thus has a Low Price Guarantee. They will match or beat any U.S. selling companies products that are EPA/FDA approved. Good to know.
While Onyx pined over the package, throwing looks of "can I have it yet" at me, I checked out more about the product. I like to know exactly what I'm giving my dogs and I treat each of them differently because Twiggy is much more sensitive to certain things than Onyx is. If they could talk they would tell me I'm not fair. I'm sure of it!
Virbac C.E.T. dental chews are Veterinarian approved, as seen by being displayed in our Vet's office. They are currently available on EntirelyPets.com for $9.99 (sale price on 10/3/13). Their analysis is:
- Crude Protein 75.0%
- Crude Fat 1.0%
- Crude Fiber 3.5%
- Moisture 16.0%
- Calories 31 - we're conscious of this one because Onyx doesn't really have an "I'm full" point!
We like that the chews are high in protein, plus the chews work on his teeth for dental care and that is important to us too. Onyx happily took the chew I gave him and gnawed on it for about 10 minutes before it was gone. Then, he gave me a look of, "more please."
Nice try Onyx, but one is all you get today! Virbac C.E.T. chews get Onyx's seal of approval, which he feels is invaluable!
